So I exited the launcher before the game could start. The mod manager worked as it should have and added the folder exactly where it was supposed to. I wasn't sure if this was going to work for a directory that already existed in the game folder so I tried running the game without the edited rpf. So I created the same directory in the GTV mods folder (the one associated with the mod manager). The mod required me to add a folder to the update/圆4/dlcpacks directory (apart from rpf edits). The easiest method seemed to be using Bilago's mod manager, and it worked great for scripts. So I recently decided to start modding after watching a couple of YouTube videos.
